ALL ARE WELCOME TODAY TO AUGUST MEETING OF CNY YOUNG FARMERS COALITION!

Greetings Folks!

We hope everyone is soaking up as much of the last of summer that they can. August and September are always the hardest months as we become inundated with planting fall and winter crops at the same time that harvest peaks. Most of us have done our best to work with major weather upsets, crop losses, and the realization that we might not be making anymore dry hay this year.

All this rain reminds us of why we practice the good soil management – while hoping none of our fields end up in the creek. And it reminds us of why we need to work even harder to turn the agricultural status quo on its head. Climate change and weather extremes makes our risk-taking even more risky, and makes our tight profit margins even tighter.

That’s why we’d like to extend a warm invitation for all to attend our August meeting. Please join us in our urgent work to reform and revitalize agriculture in Central New York.

When: TODAY, Thursday August 23rd at 6pm
