Part-time seasonal Farm Hand

Part-Time farm position available on a well-established, diverse, certified organic livestock and crop farm 30 minutes from Ithaca. Help needed with manual farm labor two days/per week throughout the growing season.

Season Needed:
May-September 2018
2 days per week (flexible), 8 hours/day

Compensation:
$10-15/hour depending on skills and experience
Possible seasonal housing

Tasks:
• Screening compost
• Mixing potting soil
• Hand weeding and hoeing
• Moving livestock fencing
• Cleaning stalls and nestboxes
• Loading and stacking hay
• Other farm tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• At least one season of farm work
• Experience with livestock
• Ability to repeatedly and safely lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently and in a group
