Beginner Guide to Mechanizing Your Vegetable Farm: Live Equipment Tour & Q&A With Plow Break Farm

Virtually tune in and join us at plowbreak farm to get a comprehensive field guide to mechanizing your vegetable production farm. If you are interested in scaling up production on your farm or looking to incorporate new peices of equipment join us to learn about what equipement is right for your farm and operation.

The following equipment will be discussed during the event: Rototillers, Chisel & moldboard plows, row cultivators, cultivating tractors, high tunnel equipment, BCS tractor/implemtents, Potato planter, Flail mower, brush hog, one wheel transplanters, seeding drill, and front loader attachments.

This workshop will be led by Aaron Munzer and Kara Cusolito, Plowbreak’s owners and farmers. Since 2012, they have been feeding the community in a thirty-mile radius around their farm, which sits atop the hills of Seneca Lake.

Plowbreak Farm is operated on forty acres (seven cultivated) and seven high tunnels is never sprayed with synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Plowbreak works to promote healthy soils and a thriving ecosystem around their farm with cover cropping, habitat plantings, compost-based fertility and reduced tillage.
