Land Reparations & Reconciliation
Groundswell Center's involvement in LAND ACCESS & REPARATIONS efforts is a highly collaborative. This collaborative group is called the Land Access Reparations & Reconciliation Working Group, which has created a web site of its own to serve as the landing page and central point for online communication about ongoings, events, resources and more on this important topic. The Land Access R&R Working Group got started by organizing a three-part event on March 7th & 8th. More than 200 people attended a series of free workshops titled LAND ACCESS & REPARATIONS held at the Tompkins County Public Library. Guest speaker, farmer and activist Leah Penniman from Soul Fire Farm and author of Farming While Black.
