You’re invited to join the Community Book Read of Freedom Farmers. In this Read we’ll explore agricultural resistance and the Black Freedom Movement through author Monica White’s research on Fanny Lou Hamer’s Freedom Farms Cooperative.
This is the second of two Community Reads, put together by Finger Lakes Land Reconciliation & Reparations, in preparation for Monica White’s visit in April 17th, 2020. We’ll distribute FREEDOM FARMERS books and discuss what we’ve read so far and share a meal!
