TRACTOR FUNDRAISER!

Dear friends and supporters, we’re looking into getting a tractor for our farm. We have bought the one we currently have 5 years ago and it was already old and used. We have 5 acres of land and the tractor is important for clearing and preparing the soil, for the operation of the farm, to carry compost and other materials. We plan to buy a pre-owned 25-35 horsepower tractor, and we need your help with partial financing ($15,000 goal) for getting a loan for the tractor, which is usually $20-25,000.

Where your money goes

Your contribution makes a lasting difference for farmers and business owners in our community!

Your gift invests in farmers like Ti Hla, pictured left. In the photo she is harvesting water spinach, a Southeast Asian vegetable from her home country of Burma that tastes like a mild spinach and is served raw in salads or sauteed. Two of her 16 (!) sons are farmers at the Groundswell Incubator Farm and she spends many summer evenings helping them prepare for market.

You Can Make An Impact

Every contribution advances Groundswell's goals and sustains hardworking farmers.

“THERE’S NO WAY, WITHOUT THE [Incubator Farm] LAND ACCESS THAT I WOULD HAVE BEEN BRAVE ENOUGH OR FINANCIALLY STABLE ENOUGH TO TAKE THE PLUNGE THIS SEASON. GROUNDSWELL HAS PROVIDED ME WITH THE ENCOURAGEMENT, THE SUPPORT AND THE LAND ACCESS TO FARM RIGHT NOW.”

- Alison, Incubator Farmer
