Agriculinary Tourism Coordinator Sought

If you believe that it’s important to know where your food comes from and if you love Tompkins County, then we are looking for you to join the Visit Ithaca team! We are looking for a highly organized and energetic person to fill this grant supported Agriculinary Tourism Coordinator position. The newly created contract position will help interested Tompkins County farms and culinary businesses, which source locally, prepare to welcome visitors.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Ithaca Tompkins County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) to administer a microgrant program, prepare for Open Farm Days in August, and help farmers and farm businesses open a new stream of revenue. Strong copywriting, project management and interpersonal skills a must.

Required:
Knowledge of Farm, Agriculture, and Tourism Industry
Demonstrated project management success
Skill in website and database management
2 years work experience in related field

Desired:
Strong copywriting skills
Demonstrated ability participate on collaborative teams
4 year degree in agriculture, tourism, or business related field
Job Type: Contract

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
